Summer is finally here, and that means one of the biggest days of the year is right around the corner.
If you’re looking for patriotic fun on the Fourth of July, Yale is the place to be. Every year, our small town hosts a big celebration that brings together friends, families, neighbors, and visitors from across the area.
The festivities begin on the evening of July 3rd with music and a community street dance. Then, on the Fourth of July, the celebration continues with a parade that winds its way through town, followed by a full day of food, games, activities, and entertainment. As the sun sets, the day concludes with a spectacular fireworks show.
For many families, it is a tradition that marks the heart of summer, and it is one of our favorite days of the year.
A Day That Brings the Community Together
One of the things that makes the Fourth of July in Yale special is the sense of community.
You see familiar faces, catch up with old friends, and make new memories with family. Whether you’ve attended for years or are planning your first visit, there is something about a small-town celebration that feels a little different.
It is a reminder of what makes communities like ours such great places to call home.
A Few Tips for a Great Day
With a full day of activities ahead, a little preparation can go a long way.
Consider bringing:
- Sunscreen
- Bottled water
- Lawn chairs or blankets
- Cash for vendors and activities
- Comfortable walking shoes
- A plan for where to meet family and friends
July weather in Iowa can be unpredictable, so it never hurts to be prepared for a warm day.
Watch for Farmers State Bank in the Parade
The Fourth of July would not be complete without the annual parade, and we are excited to be part of it once again.
Keep an eye out for the Farmers State Bank crew as we make our way through town. We will be handing out some fun and useful giveaways along the parade route, and we always enjoy seeing so many familiar faces from Yale and the surrounding communities.
Be sure to wave when you see us!
Celebrating What Matters Most
The Fourth of July is about more than fireworks and festivities.
It is about community, tradition, and spending time with the people who matter most. Those values have always been important here in Yale, and they are part of what makes this celebration such a special event year after year.
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, and we look forward to celebrating with you.
Happy Independence Day from all of us at Farmers State Bank of Yale!
